About Us

Welcome to Cops and Rockers, a complete turn key fundraising program advocating youth to "engage and pay forward", linking local law enforcement agencies with local school students to host MuchMusic Video Dances... and the hosting community gets to keep 100% of the money.

Yes 100%!

The first Cops and Rockers event was held in Cornwall Ontario Canada in May of 2005.

To creator Ron Chenier, young student fund raising programs lacked an organized structure and were limited to traditional chocolate bar sales and car washes, limiting the funds raised to a few hundred dollars at best.

Led by a local visionary Chief of Police and his engaged staff and organized in partnership with local school board authorities, young rockers aged 10 to 13 are invited to raise funds to attend a Much Music Video Dance Party and the opportunity to win over $1,500 in prizes.

100% of the funds raised from this “youth + law enforcement relationship-building program” are used for the Chief’s local youth-related cause. All Much Video Dance related fees, necessary materials, and costs to administer and deliver the “step-by-step” innovative program, are paid by securing corporate sponsors. Actual dance night is attended by dozens of local and regional Police officers, auxiliary Police officers and supported by a team of Police screened volunteers.

Over $250,000 has now been raised to the benefit of a new Boys & Girls Club facility in Cornwall, ON, a new Skatepark in Brockville, ON and in support of Special Olympics’ Games in Windsor ON… as students from grades 5 to 8 mix it up on the dance floor with officers in a fun, non-threatening safe atmosphere.
